Brillから刊行された編著The Bottom Worker in East Asia: Composition and Transformation under Neoliberal Globalizationの刊行イベントがオンラインでおこなわれました（英語）。11月13日はアジア圏向けのセッションで日本時間の午前10時開始、11月30日は欧米向けのセッションで日本時間の午後10時開始でした。

　この2つの販促イベントに関しては、Brill社のスタッフのKatie Shortさん、アメリカの社会学者で学術雑誌Critical Sociologyの編集長でもあるDavid Fasenfestさんのお二人に大変お世話にになりました。そのためのやりとりで、東京（私）、アムステルダム（Katieさん）、デトロイト（Davidさん）の3名でメールやTeamsでの打ち合わせなどをしましたが、起きている時間帯がバラバラなので、日程調整が不思議な感じでした。
　でもこういう不思議さ、コロナ禍でのオンラインイベントはよく経験してたな、とわずか1〜2年前のことにもかかわらず、ちょっと昔の感覚として自分の中に立ち現れたのが、自分でも驚きでした。変化は早く、起こっていたことはすぐに忘れられていく。

The editors, contributors to the volume, and Professor David Fasenfest (Studies in Critical Social Sciences series editor) will come together to examine the book and the concept of the “bottom worker” as a tool to analyze the contemporary working class in East Asia that is suffering from downward pressure under neoliberal globalization
